Following the huge success of the Wombat Hostels in Vienna, this dynamic team set its sights further afield - to Germany's crazy capital. Wombat's Berlin branch opened in 2008, and quickly established itself as a favourite with penny-poor travellers looking for a cheap pillow on which to rest their heads. First class facilities, top draw location, and great staff appear to complete a perfect package, with the icing on the cake being a free welcome drink at the Wombar - find it on the seventh floor where you'll get fantastic views over Berlin to boot.
