Probably Berlin's top hotel as far as luxury is concerned, the Adlon, situated on the Unter der Linten, has an impressive heritage. Before its destruction in WWII and subsequent restoration, it was considered one of the best hotels in the world and welcomed movie stars and Russian Tsars alike - Charlie Chaplin and Marlene Dietrich being amongst the former. Today's incarnation is every bit as grand, with all the marble staircases, spa facilities, and presidential suites that even the most demanding of patrons could possibly need. Gorgeous hotel, with everything you could possibly need. I stay here everytime I visit Berlin!!
