Hammett

Hard-boiled detective thriller writer Dashiell Hammett created Sam Spade, one of the best-known characters in the genre. He also gave his name to this store in Berlin, which is crammed with crime fiction from around the world. The stock spans several decades of murders and miscellaneous dark deeds, including early and contemporary fiction. Hammett is something of a fans' haven too, as the store regularly hosts readings and talks from guest writers. Of course, Hammett himself won't be there as he's been dead since 1961. Or at least, that's what he wants you to think...
