By and large, it's bears. Steiff does create other species too, but the company has known worldwide for its teddy bears, since Margaret Steiff first started stitching fluffy limbs together in 1880. What really thrust this brand into the limelight was its association with American president Theodore (Teddy) Roosevelt, after whom Margaret named her creation. The modern store in Berlin stocks bears, of course, alongside a range of other items including collectables, fashion and babywear.
