Where is the Love?
It seems that the triumphant return of the Love Parade to Berlin in 2006, after three years in the wilderness, was shortlived indeed. Despite great optimism emanating from the Love Parade camp earlier this year it seems that the event will not be taking place in 2007 - or at least not in the German capital.
After finding a sponsor in the shape of McFits organisers were confident that the Love Parade would take place this year and had even cited a date - the 7th July 2007. However as the application to hold the event was examined, city officials refused to give the rubber stamp amidst security fears for the world's biggest dance party.
Nonetheless partygoers needn't despair altogether. Even as we speak the Love Parade organisers are searching for an alternative host city, probably elsewhere in Germany. We'll keep you informed...
