WWII Bombs Successfully Defused

It's a fact that is dealt with across Europe on a regular basis - the defusing of World War II-era bombs found during excavations or construction, and it happens so often that it's usually a big deal. However, the German town of Koblenz recently discovered a huge British bomb due to the current low level of the Rhine, as well as a 125 kg American bomb nearby.

As many as 45 000 people had to be evacuated from the 1.8km exclusion zone, resulting the biggest evacuation since the war. Bomb disposal experts were able to defuse the enormous 1.8 ton British bomb quickly, and were able to defuse the American bomb as well with no accidents or injuries.
