Cross-Eyed Opossum to Remain in Germany

The city of Leipzig, approximately 200 kilometres south of Berlin, is now home to the international internet superstar Heidi, the cross-eyed opossum.

The newly opened jungle enclosure Gondwanaland in the Leipzig Zoo, which is meant to highlight threatened ecosystems in Asia, Africa, and South America, is where Heidi will be staying. And the crowds are already arriving to see the adorable internet sensation.

The cross-eyed opossum gained many fans online when a YouTube video about the animal became viral, showing Heidi off to the world. Stop by the Leipzig Zoo to visit Heidi, as well as her many other animal friends.
