Germany Most Popular Nation
The BBC World Service has conducted a poll measuring the popularity of 16 nations across the world. From the nearly 29 000 people surveyed, the poll has concluded that Germany is the most popular nation with 62 per cent saying that Germany’s influence is a positive contribution to the world.
Germany’s positive global image has outshone the United Kingdom which placed second with 58 per cent of those surveyed expressing a positive opinion of the country. Canada followed in third place, with Japan, France and Brazil trailing closely behind.
Receiving the lowest score was Iran, which received a negative ranking of 59 per cent.
