Felix ClubRestaurant

|
If there’s one thing the culinary department of the Felix ClubRestaurant is not lacking, it's pedigree. Head chef, Florian Glauert cut his teeth in top restaurants in Barcelona and New York so his credentials aren’t to be sniffed at. Not that extraordinary North Italian cuisine is the only draw here. The ultra stylish interior of Felix is especially designed to fulfil the role, not just of a restaurant, but of a nightlife venue too - which is why on any given night you could find a top jazz band performing or an international DJ behind the decks. Dress to impress if you want to mingle with the A-list guests here.

What an enormous disapointment this was. On a saturdaynight we were dining in this huge empty clubroom with not more than 20 other guests. All of them tourists. Why the locals seem to avoid a visit to this 'restaurant' became clear when the food was served. This has nothing to do with fine cuisine. The ceasar salad served is a disgrace to the traditional nearly untouchable recipe, the artichoke a la Barigoule was sweet as candy and the beef fillet was served with a strange unbalanced combination of ingredients.
