In was in 1975 that Ashok Sharma took a summer job in Berlin - a city very different than it is today. Missing the flavours of his home in the Punjab.
It was enough to inspire him to open Ashoka, which now offers simple but delicious and healthy Indian 'street food' - the kind of meals that are served on street corners in every major city of the sub-continent.
Over the years, Ashok has kept hold of his original vision, and his restaurant is now one of Charlottenburg's most charming culinary corners. |
