It's a vegetarian restaurant, sure, but Rootz is very open and welcoming to all comers. They won't exactly throw a steak on the grill, but they will cook up completely meat free dishes for you, which may make you think in a different direction as far as your dietry predilections are concerned. It's all home made, using fresh produce, and there are some real stars on the menu - such as the New York Cheesecake. The welcome even extends to those who do not want to dine, but just want to sit and enjoy a warm evening, with a cold beer.
