Kasbah

It was the first Moroccan restaurant to open in Berlin, a city rapidly becoming a city where every international cuisine is represented. Since the first customers arrived as Kasbah opened its doors in 2003, it has remained a favourite spot to sample the flavours of one corner of North Africa. Every attention to detail has been paid in bringing an authentic Moroccan experience to diners here. The interior is all wood, leather, cushions and intimate alcoves - and was in fact imported wholesale from Morocco to ensure that the traditional touches of the salon marocain style were not lost. Add to this the hospitality and a menu replete with warmth, colour and spice, and you may find it very difficult to leave this restaurant.

Ich war dort heute Abend mit meiner Frau. Das Ambiente war ok, aber die Stühle sehr unbequem. Wir haben einen Vorspeiseteller bestellt (20€ !!!) und was kam entspricht auf gar keinen Fall das, was man erwartet und bezahlt: gemüse! nur gemuse, Auberginen, Paprika und Karotten...ach! und 4 kleine Teigtaschen die viel zu trocken waren, für 20€ ist das sehr enttäuschend. Meine Frau wollte keine Hauptspeise, aber die Kellnerin hat sie überzeugt, etwas zu bestellen....nach ca. 30 Sekunden hat meine Frau die Bestellung bei der Kellnerin abgelehnt, aber die Kellnerin sagte dass die Bestellung schon eingetragen war... schmutziger Trick, dann hat meine Frau kein Hunger mehr gehabt und wir haben ihr Essen praktisch intakt einpacken lassen und mitgenommen. Die hauptspeise war OK, aber keine Offenbarung. Ich habe selber besseres Couscous gekocht... für ca. 15€ pro Teller, finde ich die erfahrung extrem arm. Insgesamt 55€ für sehr langweiliges Essen zähneknirschend bezahlt.
