Schwules Museum

|
More than just a museum of homosexuality, the Schwules is also a centre of research, archive and library.
The aim of the museum, unique in Berlin, is to collect and preserve documents and items about life from the gay perspective through the ages.
The curators hope that the multi-faceted approach of the Schwules will show the diversity of homosexuality and gay lifestyles, and help to counter bigotry and stereotyping while encouraging acceptance.
Visitors can arrange in advance to view documents from the library, by contacting the museum. |
