Martin Gropius Bau

|
The Martin Gropius Bau has a reputation as one of the best exhibition venues in Europe, and maybe even among the best in the world.
In the recent past the museum has held truly astonishing exhibitions, such as Egypt's Sunken Treasures, works of Rebecca Horn and more, and the top shows just keep on coming.
There is always something worth seeing, and the exhibitions continue for lengthy periods, making it possible to plan a visit in advance.
The building itself is a joy to behold. It was built in 1881 and, like many others in Berlin, was severely damaged during the second world war - but has since been restored to its former glories. |
