Hamburger Bahnhof

|
A branch of the National Gallery in Berlin, the Hamburger Bahnhof houses a large collection of contemporary art.
It's not an attraction that you can visit easily in half an hour or so, covering as it does some 13,000 square metres of exhibition space. In this is shown the Friedrich Christian Flick Collection, which contains more than 1,500 pieces from both Europe and North America, many from the past decade.
Among the Hamburger Bahnhof's most treasured possessions is the collection of Berlin entrepreneur Dr. Erich Marx, which includes pieces by the likes of Joseph Beuys, Anselm Kiefer, Robert Rauschenberg, Cy Twombly, and Andy Warhol. |
