Bode Museum

|
The architectural design of the Bode is in itself a work of art, having been created on the bank of the river Spree in the Wilhelminian Baroque style and topped with an elegant dome.
The museum holds extensive collections of sculpture and Byzantine Art, and also has its own world famous coin collection. Alongside permanent exhibitions, there are regular special shows which cover a broad range of artistic endeavour and historic interest, such as Renaissance Italian portraits, religious art, dragons and heroes, and more.
It's a nice touch that the Bode has a special gallery for children too. |
