Museum of Prints and Drawings

|
Half a million prints and some 100,000 drawings rank the Kupferstichkabinett as the most important repository of its kind in Germany, and the fourth most important in the world.
There are watercolours, charcoal, pastel, ink and pencil creations by the most influential and talented artists ever to live.
The museum takes care to show how 'art on paper' has developed, and to make connections with a very primitive yet still powerful and popular form of expression. It deals with the vastness of its collection and its responsibility as a curatorial institute by hosting a permanent exhibition alongside changing termporary shows, allowing maximum exposure for art lovers and amateur enthusiasts alike. |
