It gives you a measure of the quality of the Jewish Museum that in 2005 they received their three millionth visitor - especially when you consider that they only opened in 2001! That year marked the 330th anniversary of Berlin's Jewish community and the museum does an excellent job in evoking the powerful emotions that go hand-in-hand with such an eventful existence throughout history. It does so through a permanent exhibition on 2,000 years of German Jewish history, a learning centre, plus a series of temporary exhibitions which in the past have included Jewish painting, photography, and architecture.
