Gruselkabinett

|
Gruselkabinett is the German equivalent of 'chamber of horrors', and it certainly lives up to its name. While couples stroll through the nearby Tiergarten and Germany's future is planned by politicians just a stone's throw away, visitors can immerse themselves in terror.
It's set on three levels, the top one being devoted to a walk in a graveyard where the residents are not particularly keen to lie down. On the first floor is the 'medical' section, a broadly historical and graphic exhibition of amputation and such like through the ages. Finally, in the basement, is a different kind of terror, the life of a city under a rain of bombs bringing death from above. This is particularly appropriate for a building that used to be a bunker during the second world war. |
