Galerie Michael Schultz

|
Launched in 1986, Galerie Michael Schultz had a mission to present the best modern German painters and sculptors. Their early successes included exhibitions by the likes of Markus Lüpertz and AR Penck, which in turn attracted the attention of America's most creative minds - including those of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Robert Rauschenberg, and Andy Warhol.
Since then, progress has been rapid. A second Berlin gallery opened in 2005, followed by more in Seoul and Beijing. These expansions gave Galerie Michael Schultz a doorway into the new art coming from the far east, enabling exhibitions of work from artists in Korea and China.
This is very much a commercial gallery, although prices are not as steep as they could be, but browsing is welcome. |
