Medical museum

Some 50,000 visitors find their way to this small museum each year, and not all of them are there just to see the so-called 'wet' specimens. Some 750 artefacts are displayed at the museum in the former pathology institute, spanning 400 years of medical history. Alongside the permanent collection are temporary exhibitions, which enhance the museum's aim of putting historical medicine into a modern context. Although it is open to the public, this museum is also popular with those in the medical profession, and students.
