Yaam

Back in 1994 a group of artists, musicians and sports fanatics took over a deserted bus garage in Berlin. Now that same venue is a unique project in Berlin, going under the name of the Young African Arts Market.
Whatever takes your fancy, there’s a little bit of it going on at YAAM. There are regular live concerts, exhibitions, sports events, alongside craft and food stalls all year round featuring produce from Africa, the West Indies and Asia.
YAAM also prides itself as THE meeting place for multi-cultural Berlin, and attracts the kind of crowd that believes graffiti can be art and the body can be a canvas.
